Covatti project receives the new Bus Terminal Urban Montenegro

Congressman Vilson Covatti (PP-RS) pledged support in seeking federal funds for the construction of the new Bus Station will be built in the street José Luiz, between the streets Assis Brazil and Dr. Flores, where the old warehouse was located in City Hall. The topic was the agenda of a meeting in the office of a legislator in Porto Alegre in the afternoon yesterday (08), with the presence of Mayor Percival de Oliveira, the vice mayor and secretary Griebeler Marcos Municipal Public Works, Richard Senger. The project is budgeted for $ 1 million. Covatti received copies of the proposed Terminal and the Master Plan for Urban Mobility, which was developed by Pro-Cities.
The project for the Bus Terminal provides the distribution platforms of buses, with possible suggestions flow of vehicles. The site will also feature a one-stop service to the public, a changing room with shower for drivers, plus restrooms with baby changing. The second floor is earmarked for the Board of Transit município. The space has a structure designed to facilitate the maintenance of vehicles, promoting better integration of bus lines, and a greater utilization of the infrastructure of the fleet. The project will be registered with the Ministry of Cities.
Already the Urban Mobility Plan, initiated by the City Administration provided a diagnosis of the works that might be used to improve urban mobility in the city, as construction of bicycle paths, hiking space and revitalization of sidewalks, for example.
